Callahan Associates Inc.(CAI), was founded in 1973 by Edward E.
Callahan.P.E., F.ASCE. CAI is a consulting structural Engineering
services firm which for several years offered structural design,
inspections, investigations, reports, testing of building products
and components involving commercial, industrial and residential
construction. These services are provided to Architects, other Engineers,
Building Contractors, manufacturers of building products, building
component manufacturers, city and county facilities, inspection
departments and the legal profession.
The current trend in demand for structural Engineering services
for today's building construction market has required additional
specialized needs. Callahan Associates began to meet these needs
by expanding our services to include Forensic investigations of
building collapses, related expert consultation and expert witness
service.
While continuing work on buildings and components constructed of
materials such as steel and concrete, in 1998 an associated firm
Callahan Systems Group (CSG) was formed. This division provides
technician services to the wood truss industry and building contractors.
These services involve providing wood roof and floor preliminary
estimating services and wood truss installation inspections for
builders and contractors. Engineering support services when needed
continue to be provided by CAI. |
