Timber Pole Condition Assessment
Evaluation of material condition of two 135 foot high embedded timber poles used to support cables attached to a military fighter jet used in tests for the Patriot missile Program. Column base at ground level was evaluated with a shigometer test unit and along the length of the pole with non destructive "Pole-Test" equipment.

Glue Laminated Wood Three Hinge Arch Survey
Three hinge Glulam arches were constructed as main structural roof framing for a high school gymnasium. After 50 years of use, arches at exterior and interior exhibited delamination. Exterior metal covers were removed to expose laminated members and interior dela-minations. Recommendations were provided based on survey conditions.

Timber Suspension Bridge Survey
Timber Suspension Bridge Survey of Heavy Timber passenger cable supported suspension bridge. Bridge was exhibiting excessive splitting and checking of members.

Building Foundation Underpinning
Large three story residential apartment building was undermined by highly expansive clays resulting in shrinkage and expansion of soil below footings and extensive damage to the structure requiring extensive building shoring, building repairs and foundation underpinning.

Survey of Heavy Timber Joists for 7 story Office Bldg.
Seven story structure used for 75 plus years with multiple use occupancies was converted to office use. Floor framing consisted of heavy timber joists supported on masonry walls. Joists were exposed for observation and engineering analysis working with Architect/Engineer of record.

Fire Damaged Steel Manufactuing Building
A building used to manufacture wood fiber products was damaged by the fire to the extent that steel beams, decking and steel joists were excessively defelected. A survey was made providing recommendations to evaluate the damaged framing.

Field investigations and inspections of both residential and commercial damage as a result of Hurricane Andrew in Dade County, Florida were made after the storm.

Structural Evaluation of Department Store
Utility Vault
A utility vault constructed below a department store in the late 1800's extended beyond the building foundation and below an adjacent street and housed department store mechanical—electrical switch gear. Cast iron framing members (beams and columns) supporting both the first floor structure and street roadbed were seriously deteriorated. Survey of underground utility vaults and preparation of emergency shoring scheme below the store and street were completed.
